Are female screen printers rare? Far wrong. Because in production at Witte, we now count almost 10 female colleagues at our presses. If you look at the number 7/10 of female media technologists currently being trained at the IHK Nord Westfalen, you can soon talk about a female domain 😉 .
Judging by the female interest at the annual Girls’ Day at our plant in Münster, we can confirm this trend. On April 27, 2023, our training coordinator and plant and production managers were able to give five bright schoolgirls a multifaceted insight into our printing operations.
After a general company presentation, our guests accompanied their very own print product from template creation to screen copying and exposure to setting up the printing press to finishing and punching. A visit to the color chamber was also a must, and so our exceptionally interested visitors went home with their self-made label in their pockets and lots of information and impressions.
And who knows, maybe a future media technologist for screen printing was there on this action day again. We would be delighted to welcome her to our ranks!
