Kinegrams consist of a two-dimensional motion sequence.

The name is derived from the term “kinematics” because a defined film-like procedure takes place depending on the viewing angle of the kinegram.

Kinegrams are usually used on bank notes and EC bank cards. A kinegram loses its shine and two-dimensionality just like a hologram if it is copied.
