On 2/5/2019 the START – School Meets Career – event took place for the first time in the Edith Stein School in Senden, with whom we have a school partnership. There, we introduced the apprenticeship “Media Technologist Screen Printing” to interested students of the 9th and 10th classes, our important soon-to-be graduates target group. In total, we were able to answer about 90 students questions regarding the profession of media technologist in screen printing.
The special feature of this event is the dialogue generated on an equal footing – here trainees give the students questions and answers, not the bosses! This article was published in the regional Westfälische Nachrichten daily. The topic of professional orientation has become an indispensable part of the school. Early on, students are introduced to different occupations, be it via exploring different career fields, Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day, or school internships.
